T&C’s Boat Show GRAND PRIZE GIVEAWAYS 2026

Full Terms and Conditions

1. Promoter

The promoter is:

Hitech Marine is a promotional partner and prize supplier or contributor, as applicable.

2. Promotion period

  • Promotion opens: 28 Aug 2026
  • Promotion closes: 6 Sep 2026 5:00pm
  • Time zone: Western Australian time
  • QR-code entries close at 5:00pm on 6 September 2026, unless stated otherwise on the official entry form.

Entries received outside the promotion period will not be accepted.

3. Eligible entrants

Entry is open to Australian residents who:

  • Are aged 16 years or older
  • Are legally capable of entering the promotion
  • Meet any applicable geographic eligibility requirements
  • Complete the required entry steps during the promotion period

Employees, contractors and immediate family members of the promoter, Hitech Marine, prize suppliers, event organisers and agencies directly involved in the promotion are not eligible to enter.

The promoter may request proof of age, identity, residency or eligibility before awarding the prize.

4. How to enter

To receive one online entry, an entrant must:

  • Follow the Fishin Wishin Life Instagram or Facebook account used for the promotion
  • Follow the Hitech Marine Instagram or Facebook account
  • Like the official giveaway post
  • Tag one eligible friend in the comments of the official giveaway post

Only one friend may be tagged per entry online. Each valid eligible comment containing one valid friend tag may count as one entry, subject to the entry limits stated below.

The tagged person must be a genuine individual and not a business, brand, celebrity, public figure or promotional account. The entrant must not tag themselves.

5. Additional Boat Show entries

An entrant may receive three additional entries by:

  • Attending the Perth Boat Show during the published event dates
  • Locating the Fishin Wishin Life giveaway display or crew at stand 304
  • Scanning the official giveaway QR code
  • Completing and submitting the official entry form
  • Providing the required details and confirming acceptance of these terms and conditions

The form may request the entrant’s full name, email address, mobile number and eligibility confirmation.

The promoter may verify QR-code entries against the information submitted through the official entry form. Duplicate, incomplete, inaccurate or fraudulent forms may be rejected.

6. Entry limits

  • Each eligible entrant may receive a maximum of one (1) online entry.
  • Each eligible entrant may receive a maximum of three (3) additional QR-code entries.
  • The maximum total number of entries per person is four (4).
  • An entrant cannot obtain additional entries by tagging more than one person in a comment.
  • Comments or entries that breach these terms may be removed or excluded.

The promoter may disqualify entries that appear automated, duplicated, misleading, incomplete, abusive or otherwise inconsistent with the spirit of the promotion.

7. Prize

The one grand prize is:

  • One 12” Simrad NSX 3012 multifunction navigation unit

The prize is supplied as a new unit unless otherwise stated. The prize does not include installation, wiring, transducers, radar equipment, mapping subscriptions, accessories, labour, freight, professional advice or any other equipment not expressly included in the prize description.

The prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash, except where required by law.

The promoter and prize supplier may substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable for reasons outside their reasonable control.

The promoter is not responsible for compatibility, installation or suitability of the prize for the winner’s boat, electrical system, existing equipment or intended use. The winner should obtain suitable installation and technical advice where required.

8. Prize value

The total prize value is approximately $5,000 AUD, including GST where applicable.

9. Draw

The winner will be selected by random draw from all valid entries received during the promotion period.

  • Draw date: 7 Sep 2026
  • Draw time: 5pm WST
  • Draw location or method: Perth, Western Australia. Random selection tool
  • Draw administrator: Fishin Wishin Life

If required under Western Australian law, the draw will be conducted in accordance with the applicable trade promotion lottery requirements and any required permit, blanket permit or notification process.

The promoter may draw reserve entries to replace an entrant who is ineligible, cannot be contacted, does not respond within the required period or cannot accept the prize.

10. Winner notification

The provisional winner will be contacted using the details supplied at entry and may also be announced on the Fishin Wishin Life social media pages.

The winner must respond within one (1) day of the first notification attempt. If the winner does not respond, cannot be verified or is found to be ineligible, a reserve winner may be selected.

The winner may be required to provide reasonable proof of identity, age, residency and compliance with these terms before receiving the prize.

11. Prize delivery and collection

The prize will be:

  • Collected from the Perth metropolitan area; or
  • Delivered to an Australian address nominated by the verified winner.

Any delivery, insurance, installation or collection arrangements must be confirmed with the promoter. The promoter is not responsible for loss or damage occurring after the prize has been delivered or collected, except where required by law.

12. Personal information

The promoter will collect and use entrant information to:

  • Administer and verify the promotion
  • Contact the winner
  • Conduct the draw
  • Arrange prize fulfilment
  • Maintain required promotional records
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations

The entry form may include separate, optional consent for Fishin Wishin Life marketing and separate, optional consent for sponsor marketing. Marketing consent is not required to enter or win.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with the promoter’s privacy policy, available at [insert privacy policy link]. Entrants may contact [insert contact email] to request access to or correction of personal information, subject to applicable law.

13. Social media platform disclaimer

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram or Facebook.

By entering, each entrant releases Instagram and Facebook from any liability arising from or connected with the promotion.

Entrants agree to comply with the applicable Instagram and Facebook terms of use.

14. Entry content

Any comment or content submitted as part of the promotion must:

  • Be truthful and relevant to the promotion
  • Not infringe another person’s copyright, trade mark, privacy or other rights
  • Not contain unlawful, defamatory, threatening, offensive or misleading material
  • Not contain spam, malware, automated content or unauthorised advertising

The promoter may remove or disregard content that breaches these requirements.

15. Changes, cancellation and technical issues

The promoter may disqualify an entrant, cancel an entry or modify, suspend or cancel the promotion where necessary because of fraud, technical failure, unlawful conduct, event cancellation, safety concerns or circumstances beyond the promoter’s reasonable control.

The promoter is not responsible for lost, delayed, incomplete, incorrectly submitted or technically corrupted entries, or for any outage or failure of Instagram, Facebook, the QR-code platform, internet service or entry-form provider.

16. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, warranty, condition, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.

Subject to those rights, the promoter is not responsible for loss, damage, delay or injury arising from participation in the promotion or use of the prize, except to the extent caused by the promoter’s negligence, wilful misconduct or breach of law.

The winner is responsible for confirming that the prize is suitable for their vessel and for arranging any required installation or professional services.

17. Publication of winner

The winner’s name, suburb or state may be published as required by law or for the purpose of announcing the result, subject to applicable privacy requirements.

18. Acceptance of terms

By entering, each entrant confirms that they:

  • Have read and accepted these terms and conditions
  • Meet the eligibility requirements
  • Have provided accurate information
  • Consent to the administration of the promotion
  • Understand that the online entry and QR-code entry methods are subject to the limits in these terms
